The incredible British amplifiers expertly built in the late ‘60s and ‘70s inspired us to create the Ceriatone Hey What series. The Ceriatone Hey What 504 is the 50W version of the flagship 103, and is assembled with the same painstaking detail as the originals.  It is based on the 50W 2xEL34 model, and features two channels similar to other British heads of the era. However, that topology is where the similarities end.

The 504 has a similar sonic footprint to the 103, but with slightly less headroom and less push in the low frequencies.  It lends itself to crunch tones a bit easier, without sacrificing practical amounts of headroom.  Like the 103, we consider it extremely balanced, and responds SO well to all guitars, pedals, etc.  It is capable of incredible clean tones and some of the most articulate crunch ever.  All of this wrapped up with a military-spec construction technique, and you have the unsung hero of guitar amplification.

Like other Ceriatone amps, we have labored carefully to select the finest components to suit the design, and the 504 uses our specially designed custom transformers for superior reliability, frequency response, and feel.
