The Ceriatone Plexi 50 1986 Bass 50 watt amp is the namesake of the fabulous Marshall Plexi amps. Although designed originally in the mid 60's, they gained the most notoriety in the 80's and early 90's. This amp is revered by tone enthusiasts (as is the "Experienced" for absolutely nailing the "Hendrix" sound). This amp has that fat, rich tone with single coils and a "brown" singing tone when cranked up. Sound great with 'buckers also guys!

The larger transformers and high plate voltages applied to the earliest 100 watt plexis meant that they had a lot more headroom, were very loud, and also wore down tubes fairly hard. JTM and MK II issue 100 watt lead and bass amplifiers can be thought of as basically louder versions of their smaller JTM 45 cousins. These amps were produced in ’66-’67 and are the most expensive of the range. Again, they were available in lead and bass versions that were somewhat similar, many of the smaller differences disappearing after the volume was cranked up.

Current lead times are listed on the main page at www.guitarampsusa.com.

Note: PPIMV mounted on Front Panel will be either mounted in place of pilot lamp (Marshall styles) or a hole will be drilled (OTS styles).
PPIMV mounted on Rear Panel will always be in place of a Speaker Output Jack.
